Taking to social media, many criticized the veteran actor Bushra Ansari for “enjoying” herself too soon after her sister’s untimely demise. It is to be noted that her sister Sumbul Shahid was also a well-known actor who lost her battle to cancer a few months back.
The response from people was so belittling that the actor had to address it. She shared a lengthy heartfelt note on Instagram
In which she shared her disappointment in the public’s thought process and quick judgement on the grieving and loss she has suffered after sister’s death. Her heartfelt message was shared after her video with Azan Sami khan got viral.
“I was in a deep grief from last 3 months…and that loss is going to be in our hearts till our last breath”, said Bushra Ansari in her note.
Bushra Ansari is known to be always outspoken, the legendary did not succumb to the bullying and took to social media to take on the trolls who made age-ist, judgmental comments about her dance with Azan Sami Khan.
Addressing the hate and defending herself with a lengthy note on Instagram, she concluded with:
“If this is the only flaw being old, please change your thinking or treat your parents the same way. My comment about Islam was just about respect for other religions. I am not answerable to any faceless trolls because they never leave anyone after wearing hijab.”
She shared: “Stop hurting people, it’s also not allowed in Islam.” Many celebrities including Ushna Shah and Sharmeela Farooqi took to social media to show their support for the veteran.
