Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood Diva Shilpa Shetty, was arrested on July 19 for alleged production and publication of “porn” videos via an app called “HotShots”. Subsequently, Shetty was also interrogated by the police on July 23, during the raid that was conducted in an attempt to gather more evidence regarding the case.
Actor Shilpa Shetty had an argument with husband Raj Kundra, the day he was brought home for a raid on their property by the crime branch of Mumbai police.
Shilpa, who was extremely upset about after the investigation got into an altercation with her husband. She yelled at him asking him why did he do such a thing and what was the need of doing it. The actor broke down in front of the officials. The investigating officers of the crime branch had to intervene between the couple to pacify the actress.
Shilpa also reiterated that Raj’s actions have led to the defamation of their family’s name and subsequently, they are suffering from huge financial losses as they had lost out on several endorsements.
However, during the interrogation the Hungama 2 actress denied any involvement in the case and said that she had no idea about it. Raj kept her in the dark too and she knows nothing about this case. Shilpa Shetty, on the other hand, also defended the content published on the app hotshots saying that it can be classified as erotic and not porn while differentiating between the two.
She also said that nowadays, similar content is available on various OTT platforms and in fact, some are more obscene than what is available on Hotshots.
