UAE Not Requiring COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation From Pakistanis Anymore

COVID-19 vaccination attestation not required for UAE

Earlier the United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy made it mandatory for the Pakistani travellers to provide COVID-19 vaccination certificates and get them attested by the Foriegn Office and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy, with effect from August 1.

Hours after this order was announced, the same was withdrawn after the Foreign office took up the matter with UAE embassy. Both Foriegn Office  spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri and UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi confirmed that the condition had been reversed.

It was also confirmed that the prospective Pakistani travelers will only be required to carry vaccination certificate issued by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) once the flight operations from Pakistan are resumed.

The same was also clarified by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy that the embassy do not require the Pakistani passengers flying to UAE to carry the attested certificate.

According to the new procedures issued the travellers will only have to carry a corona virus vaccination certificate issued by NADRA.

However, in a notice to Airmen, the UAE’s General Civil authority had said that flights from 14 countries including Pakistan will remain suspended till July 21, 2021 in the wake of the Corona virus pandemic. The cargo as well as business and Charter flights would be exempted from this suspension.

The other countries along with Pakistan facing the ban on flights by UAE till July 21 include India, Liberia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Zambia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and South Africa.

Qatar Resumes Visa On Arrival For Pakistanis

Meanwhile, Qatar has announced to resume its visa services for Pakistanis conditionally.

It has been stated that Pakistani visitors can obtain a travel visa for a visit of 30 days (which can be extended) after the payment of QAR 100.

A valid passport for six months, polio vaccination certificate, confirmed return ticket and a confirmed hotel reservation are the prerequisite to avail this facility.
