At that time, Afghanistan and Tajikistan border regions were measured with 168 kilometers depth of the earthquake and these were the epicenters of the disaster.

As the follow-up tremors are expected the residents are instructed to be careful about the aftershocks of the earthquake.

Formerly, earthquakes hit areas near Quetta, District Quetta, and Balochistan that alarmed the residents and they vacated their houses reciting the Kalimah Tayyaba. At that time the tremors were 25km deep and the earthquake magnitude measured around 4.7-4.8. Trivial earthquakes are experienced more strongly as compared to intense ones because they are nearer to the surface.
