After it was found that an Indian, a raw associated man is involved in Lahore’s Johar town blast, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday once again condemned India’s terrorist activities across Pakistan. He said that had the international community taken a timely notice of Pakistan’s concerns, Lahore Johar town blast would not have been taken place and no innocent lives would have been lost.
The response from Qureshi came only after the intelligence proved that the master mind behind the Johar town blast is an Indian citizen who have explicit relations with the country’s spy agency, RAW.
While speaking to a news channel, the foreign minister said that earlier he held a press conference along with Moeed Yusuf, advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security in order to convey the Pakistan’s concerns against India’s consistent involvement in destroying the harmony and peace of the country, not only through the provision of arms but also through the training and funding of terrorists. Qureshi said that India had previously also used Afghan land to launch attacks in Pakistan’s soil.
“We have said it before too and now India’s involvement in the Lahore blast has strengthened our suspicions and have proved that whatever concerns we had about India were true.”, said theminister. He further stated: “We still have concrete evidence that India is involved in terror financing.”
Qureshi raised a valid argument that having proved India’s terrorist activities in Pakistan, it is the duty of the financial action task force (FATF) to hold India accountable for backing terrorist activities in Pakistan and encouraging terrorism.
“If [FATF] doesn’t bring India to task, then it shows its double standards, and Pakistan has a right to raise an objection regarding these double standards,” said the foreign minister.
He explained that Pakistan had previously revealed India’s wrongdoings in Pakistan but no action was taken against it, to obscure the obscenity being carried out in Kashmir and to take away attention from its internal problems India sometimes makes up incidents like Pulwama attack, launches attacks on Pakistan’s borders or train terrorists. While discussing Pakistan’s course of action on the latest revelation regarding the Lahore Blast, the Minister made it clear that Pakistan will once again highlight the issue at international level.
