Special assistant on information to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, Firdous Ashiq Awan who is known for being vocal denies any disparity in the wealth statement of Chief Minister, Punjab, Usman Buzdar submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The statement by the Prime Minister’s aide came after the media reports declared that Election Commission has sent a notice to the Chief Minister in connection to the luxury plots and certain plots.
The notice was sent to him after disparity was observed in his statement submitted to the Election commission, he was again issued a reminder on June 8 when no response was received from him. The notice urged Buzdar to respond within a week.
Meanwhile, the PML-N leader Uzma Bukhari stated that the letter sent to the chief minister had lent credence to her stance about the chief minister.
She declared that the commission has sent a notice to Usman Buzdar after observing clear difference in the records.
She also stated: “Buzdar Sahib will have to answer for every penny.” However, no response has been submitted by the Chief Minister yet. Each leader sides with his own party but the lack of responsiveness by Usman Buzdar puts a question mark on the credibility of the prime minister’s aide statement. The chief minister himself has not given a statement yet about the whole scenario.
