Karachi: According to Geo News, an 11-member family travelling to Karachi from Lahore has tested positive for Omicron, a new coronavirus type.
Twelve cases of Omicron have been identified in Islamabad, bringing the country’s Omicron prevalence to 1%.
According to estimates, there have been 482 cases reported, with three people dying as a result of the infection.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has issued interim booster vaccination guidelines, urging individuals to get vaccinated as soon as possible. According to the NCOC, 30 percent of the country’s total population has been vaccinated, with 46 percent of the eligible population having been vaccinated.
