Waqar Zaka Appreciates Arshad Nadeem

The Olympian athlete Arshad Nadeem qualified for the final competition of Javelin’s throw at the Tokyo Olympics. Waqar Zaka presented Arshad Nadeem with 10 lac rupees cash as a symbol of appreciation. He received Arshad Nadeem at the Lahore Airport and handed him over with a reward for qualifying. 

Arshad Nadeem was given a warm welcome on his return to Pakistan after securing the fifth position in the Men’s Javelin Throw at the Tokyo Olympics, 2021. He has become the hero of the nation. 

The athlete was welcomed to his hometown of Mian Channu. He was welcomed by a crowd of people who admired and appreciated him by chanting slogans of his name and “Pakistan Zindabad”. He made the whole nation proud. 

In the last week, before finals, all the attention was on Nadeem as he fought in the final of the men’s javelin throw in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. He had no support and no coach for him to train for the global events. 

Whereas, all the hopes were broken as Arshad Nadeem didn’t win any medal. India’s Neeraj Chopra received a gold medal, Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch received a silver medal and Vitezslav Vesely claimed a bronze medal. 

Despite the loss, citizens praised the efforts he made to qualify for finals. They admired and honored him for attempting the Olympics.  

In yesterday’s news, the government of Punjab has announced cash prizes that will be worth one million rupees for each javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, mountaineer Shehroz Kashif, and weightlifter Talha Talib. They will be rewarded for their efforts and for making the nation proud.  In a recent press conference, the sports Minister of Punjab Rai Taimur Khan Bhatti announced that the three athletes will be rewarded with the cash prize from Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
