Mehwish Hayat is a well-known Pakistani film and television actress who is known for her roles in popular films such as Actor in Law, Punjab nahi Jaungi, Load wedding and Chalawa which are all marked as the highest grossing Pakistani films. She has been in the industry for quite a long time now and keeps on mesmerizing her fans with her powerful performance each time more.
Recently, Hayat appeared in the show, Ek pal Geo k Saath in which the actor revealed that how she has declined multiple Bollywood offers sometimes on the basis of character and other times on the basis of storyline.
“I got many offers from Bollywood. There was a time when Pakistani cinemas were totally shut down, and like every other actor I had a dream to work in films but sometimes the story didn’t hit me and sometimes the character” said the actor.
Mehwish further elaborated her desire of giving back to Pakistan and told that how she has never fascinated working in Bollywood. “I never thought that if I got a chance to work in Bollywood films I’ll definitely do it just because it’s a Bollywood film. I had my own mindset. Honestly speaking Bollywood never fascinated me a lot and I think after the revival of Pakistani cinema I’ve got a lot of opportunities and recognition here so there’s no need to go to Bollywood in search of work”, added the starlet.
