On Thursday, the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) ‘s secretary Rai Manzoor Nasir emphasized on the importance of technical education for youth saying that it will decrease the rate of unemployment.
He shared his views on “World Youth Skills Day” , which is celebrated every year on July 15th in order to acknowledge the gravity of skill-based education and training for the youngsters to make them independent citizens and skilled enough to make their own living.
The secretary said that TEVTA has taken many steps to promote technical education and to improve the technical education situation in the country in line with the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of imparting skill-based education all across the country.
He also revealed that the present government has allocated a higher budget for the stimulation of technical education and vocational training, and no country can achieve economic growth without realizing the importance of these two.
Sharing his views he said that the youth has also understood the importance of technical education in the current pandemic era.
Government’s Efforts to Promote Technical Education
The government has also made several efforts for the encouragement of skill-based education.
Along with the e-rozgar programme, three-months skilled based courses are also being offered at TEVTA.
It is hoped that in the coming years the vocational training and technical education situation in the country may become better with the joint efforts of the government and TEVTA.
