Digital Farming To Be Introduced In Pakistan By China

China is the most in-demand and popular country located which is East Asia. China has a population of more than 1.4 billion. The capital of China is Beijing. China is a well-developed country and is making more progress with every passing day. China has very good relations with Pakistan, Iraq, Russia, Japan, and many other countries. Japan and Pakistan are the best friends of China. Japan looks upon China as an intimidating opponent. They are also companions in regional diplomacy. China has helped Pakistan in many economy-boosting projects.

China has shown the desire to share its experience in the field of agriculture in technology with Pakistan and help the nation to combine technology in its agricultural landscape to bring a “green revolution”.

As in the latest report by the Nation, the specialists in China are of the thought that to move forward we will have to incorporate agriculture with information technology to create what is called the “third green revolution”.

“The integration of information technology and agriculture will bring about the third green revolution: agricultural digital revolution,” said Zhao Chunjiang from China’s National Engineering Research Centre for Information Technology in Agriculture. “By 2025, China’s digital agro-economy will exceed a USD 100 billion.”

The countries like China and Pakistan, the threat of changing climate, enormously growing population, and the spreading virus Covid-19 means that there is a strong need for advanced agricultural work to continue to prosper and develop in the modern age.

A great example of technology in the agriculture field to make all the traditional procedures more effective is to use drones for agriculture.

“Spraying at a speed of 4.5 meters a second, each drone can complete what was used to be done by 25-30 workers per day, saving 80 percent water, 30 percent cost of plant protection, and 20-25 percent pesticides,” the leading staff members of Agri-Tech company explained to the China Economic Net (CEN). “They can be used in rice, wheat, and maize. Take rice as an example, about USD 60 can be saved for each hectare.” Moreover, the company staff of agriculture explained the idea of launching the latest technology in Pakistan under the project of CPEC. Well of course we all know that this isn’t the first time that China is benefiting Pakistan with its advanced technology. Under the project of CPEC, Pakistan has made an agreement of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s Wuhan Landing Medical High-tech Co, Ltd to launch its artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted diagnostic technology for screening the cancer patients in Pakistan, a disease which has affected millions of women in Pakistan.
